Barlaston Hall
We were thrilled to have the opportunity to work on this iconic property in our local area in 2023. Our brief was to remain sympathetic to the original features in this fantastic Grade I listed building whilst updating the fireplace in the dining room. OER manufactured and installed a unique and bespoke fire surround to compliment existing mouldings and supplied a traditional electric stove which provides instant heat and flame effects when required.

We are amongst good company in the dining room, which features an impressive original painting of Thomas Mills and his family, who the house was built for in 1756.

Steeped in rich history, the Hall was used by the Bank of England during WW2 and then became Wedgwood memorial college. Barlaston Hall is perhaps most famed for it's sale by Wedgwood pottery to Save Britain's heritage for £1 in 1981, the restoration of the hall is a significant success story.
Our time served craftsmen did a fantastic job of sourcing unique carvings and customising the proportions of this design, which was manufactured in our factory in Stoke-On-Trent.
